Department of Internal Medicine

Our Internal Medicine team at NorthShore provides comprehensive, long-term care for adolescents, adults and elderly patients. Our physicians are trained to manage both acute illnesses such as infections, respiratory conditions and musculoskeletal aches as well as more chronic and complex medical issues, including diabetes, heart problems, weight management, gastroenterology disorders and more.

We offer our patients a centralized and coordinated health plan by building a long-term partnership with you over time. This trusted relationship lets your internal medicine physician customize your preventative health management and treatment plans for medical conditions to best match your unique needs. We offer our patients in-depth management of complex health problems and will coordinate efforts with any necessary specialists should it be necessary.

Our focus is on the overall health of our patients. Part of maintaining this health involves strong preventative care measures and patient education. Our team of internal medicine physicians reinforces preventative care for all of our patients through age-appropriate screenings and immunizations such as colonoscopy, mammogram, lab work and flu shots. Our team also reviews family medical history to assess a patient’s risk for various health concerns.

Whether your visit is for regular wellness, management of chronic medical conditions, acute illness or immediate care, our internal medicine physicians are available at many convenient locations across the region to best serve your healthcare needs.
