Procedure Description
- Using your own tissue, a surgeon transfers part of your body such as skin and fat, muscle or bone and uses it to reconstruct another body part such as a breast, ear or nose.
- The surgeon uses a microscope to reconnect the blood vessels of the transferred tissue to keep it alive after the reconstruction.

- Patients typically spend five to seven days in the hospital and require a period of recuperation at home before resuming regular activities.
