Procedure Description

  • Depending on the size and location of the skin cancer, the repair can be done by closing the wound using simple and more advanced plastic surgery techniques.
  • In most cases the procedure can be done in our office using a local anesthetic injection and you may return to normal activity the same day.
  • Less commonly, the procedure may be done in the hospital under sedation or general anesthesia.

Recuperation and Healing

  • Most patients can resume regular activity the same day.
  • Most bruising and swelling resolve within a week but it may take up to a year for the scars to become barely noticeable.

Take Note of These Important Insurance Guidelines
