Procedure
- Your procedure is done on an outpatient basis under sedation or general anesthesia.
- A small incision is made under your breast or in the armpit (axilla). A firm implant (or implants) is then placed under the chest muscle (pectoralis).
Recuperation and Healing
- Initial discomfort may be controlled with oral medication.
- There are usually no sutures to remove.
- You may resume light activities as tolerated, and aerobic activities can be started in approximately three weeks.
